Thursday the 9th of June is a day that will live long in the memory of those who were fortunate enough to make it to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to see St. Fergals NS take on Ballynoe NS in the H6 Hurling final.
Leading up to the game there was a great sense of excitement around the school with Brian O' Halloran and Mark Motherway having the boys in tip top shape.
It was a game that had everything from superb scores to hard shoulders and everything in between. From the very first whistle our boys put everything they had into winning the game but ultimately they came up short by the smallest of margins with Ballynoe winning by a single point.
We are all very proud of the team aswell as the supporters who shouted their lungs out for the entire game. The boys returned home to a heroes welcome.
